Fox TV stations will test ‘a person, place or thing’

Fox Television Stations (FTS) will launch a four-week preview of person, place or thing with Melissa Peterman on August 8 on select Fox-owned stations in markets including New York and Los Angeles.

Stephen Brown, Executive Vice President of Programming and Development, said, “It’s the perfect summer game: light, fun and airy, like an Aperol Spritz. Melissa is the host of this summer party – it’s her home, her game and you’ll leave having had the time of your life.”

person, place or thing is a game where players ask “yes” or “no” questions to correctly guess an answer. Created by Jeff Proctor and Paul Franklin, this game show combines comedy and common knowledge. Jeff Proctor, Paul Franklin, Melissa Peterman and Tracy Verna will serve as executive producers.

Twenty episodes will be distributed by Fox First Run.

Peterman said, “I think game shows are a lot of people’s happy place. I know they are mine. person, place or thing is simple fun the whole family can enjoy, especially since you’ll always be the best player in your house.

Actress/host/comedian Melissa Peterman is best known as “Barbra Jean” from the hit TV comedy, Reba. Peterman played “Bonnie Wheeler” on the award-winning film baby daddy for six seasons on Freeform. She starred and executive produced Working class for CMT.

Currently, she is returning to the CBS comedy Young Sheldon and just wrapped production on the Lifetime movie The hammer playing Reba’s sister. Peterman hosted Fox Television StationsPunchas well as CMTs The singing beeABC Bet on your baby and is a frequent co-host on NBC Go to Hollywood. She released a CMT comedy special Melissa Peterman: Am I the only one and opened on tour for Reba and Kelly Clarkson.
