ABC-owned TV stations announce programming for Mental Health Awareness Month
ABC-owned television stations have announced their mental health awareness programming and will participate in âMental Health Day of Actionâ on May 20.

- ABC-owned television stations help raise awareness of mental health issues during Mental Health Awareness Month.

- The station group today announced their participation in the first-ever âMental Health Day of Actionâ to be held on Thursday, May 20.
- The Mental Health Day of Action will feature same-day town hall discussions and exclusive content in each marketplace specifically focused on providing mental health experts and resources to the 1,590 local communities served by the station cluster.
- The month kicks off with the broadcast of ABC11 / WTVD-TV Raleigh Durham “Eyewitness News investigates: the silent struggleMay 6 (5:30 p.m. EDT).

- The content broadcast throughout the month will focus on:
- How support groups provided virtual service during the pandemic

- While the tri-state region is slated to fully reopen on May 19, ABC7 will host a âMental Wellness Mattersâ town hall on May 13.
- Viewers can stream City Hall for free on WABC ABC7 New York app and connected TV applications.

- The network will broadcast weekly mental health awareness content.
- “Mental wellness issuesThe Town Hall will air on Thursday, May 20 (4:30 pm to 5 pm PDT), with partners and community mental health experts to answer viewers’ questions and share resources.
