A tip from a resident about a car possibly linked to a burglary helped Irvine police discover a Mercedes-Benz fitted with a push button, rotating license plate and other features , reported KNBC-TV.

“The suspect vehicle was something out of the @007 movie,” the Irvine Police Department wrote in an Instagram post.

Yasmine Kambour, 37, and Chris Huynh, 44, both of Garden Grove, were arrested on suspicion of vehicle burglary, vehicle theft, identity theft, possession of stolen property and possession of burglary tools, according to KTLA-TV.

“In 19 years, I’ve never seen anything like this,” said Irvine Police Sgt. Karie Davies told the TV station.

Officers also discovered an elaborate gas-siphoning device that transferred fuel directly into the vehicle’s gas tank, Irvine Police wrote on Instagram. The vehicle contained burglary tools, evidence of impersonation and stolen property. Officers also found remotes and key fobs that they believe allowed the suspects to enter residential buildings, KTLA reported.

Thanks to the tip, detectives were able to recover a previously stolen car in Irvine, according to the television network.

Davies said Kambour and Huynh were linked to six cases in Irvine and one in Newport Beach, KTLA reported. Police believe the suspects entered parking lots and broke into vehicles, stealing at least a Chevrolet Camaro in one case, KNBC reported.

“I have no doubt more people will come forward,” Davies told KTLA.

Nairobi – The Kenya Copyright Board has found Raila Odinga’s presidential campaign in breach of copyright provisions after posting a video ad about their candidate’s running mate using Sauti Sol’s soundtrack.

The copyright board said that although the Azimio coalition has a public performance license allowing it to play local and international music, it does not allow it to use the music in audiovisuals.

“However, use of the sound recording as a soundtrack with visual images in a film, video, television program, commercial or audiovisual production is NOT among the uses permitted by a public performance license” said council executive director Edward Sigei. .

“Therefore, the use of the sound recording for synchronization in the manner described by the complainant without permission is therefore an infringement and therefore violates Kenyan copyright law,” he added.

Hon. @MarthaKarua is an outstanding leader with high principles.

Sigei pointed out that the Odinga-led coalition flouted copyright law as it is required to have a sync license to give it leeway to use local and international license in soundtracks with images visual.

“A synchronization license can only be issued by the composer and the publisher. They have the power to negotiate and issue a synchronization license. In this case, the composers/performers allege that this was not done” , said Sigei.

Sauti Sol was given the latitude to settle the case inside or outside the court.

“The matter is civil in nature and within the power of the parties to settle with or without compensation,” Sigei said.
